In the past 50 years, we have improved more in our scientific achievements then the last 500. Science keeps moving faster and faster towards the future. Our fast pace may be leaving some inventions behind that are vital to us. As long as we are looking at the past for wisdom, we should be fine in the future.

Natural resources are depleting and we are barely slowing down with how we use them.  To build our machines we use metal and other sources that are disposable. Wood can be replanted and grown, while other resources may not be so easily replenished.
