In FFA, seniors who have completed several levels of the agriculture program, have the opportunity to receive their state degree.  All it takes is up-to-date record books, and a scrapbook with all the pictures and awards from your years in FFA. Your record book consists of how much money you spent on feed, to how you did in competitions. It is easiest to fill out your record book as you go through FFA rather than at the end, when you are trying to get your degree.

A couple of other students and myself are applying for our State Degrees and are having a hard time considering we have never kept up with our record books. Having to go through and enter every single bag of feed, every ribbon won, and every competition is a real hassle. It real is pretty amazing to be able to go through and remember all the memories you have from this program. Even if it isn’t a whole lot of fun to apply for my State Degree, it is worth it to get to look back at all the really cool things I have done.
