February 14, a day of love and/or ice cream. Love if you have a boyfriend/girlfriend to cuddle with, or if you’re single, you cuddle with a pint of ice cream and Netflix. But what’s the history behind this day? Why do we have the red and pink? What’s behind the hearts? How did this day even come to be? Well that’s what I’m about to tell you.

What some people believe is that the name came from a saint called Saint Valentine. The story behind the hearts started out as a way to picture the heart and then formed into more. Why do we wear red? Red and pink to represent love and the heart. This day can be either harsh or romantic, depending on how you look at it.
